Newborn Essentials

I have been asked my expected mamas what were some of the must-have items that I could not live without during the newborn stage with Harnaya. I’m only sharing five items here, so I don’t overwhelm ya! Be sure to check out my registry must-haves to see what I added to my registry list and actually ended up using!

I SEND THIS LIST TO ALL MY FRIENDS THAT ARE EXPECTING!

Halo Bassinest:

This bassinet was created with a c-section mama in mind but I think it serves a great purpose regardless of how you delivered your baby. We used this bassinet up until Harnaya grew out of in (in length) at around five-months-old. It was so easy to maneuver around our room and since the sides of the bassinet were easy to push down to take the baby out, it made the nighttime changings and feedings a lot more smooth.

Baby Bjorne: This bouncer was an absolute lifesaver from when Harnaya was a week old up until 12 or so months. I used it when I had to shower and didn’t have anyone around to watch her. She would sit in the bouncer while I got ready for the day. Gotta do what you gotta do! It accompanied us on any road trip we took. The best part about it is that it folds and can fit into a suitcase and you can take the fabric seat off and throw it into the wash anytime the baby has any kind of explosion while in the seat.

Baby Brezza: I didn’t get this formula maker right off the bat because I thought I would be breastfeeding (another story of its own). I ended up buying it when she was around 3 months old and it seriously was a game changer! Perfect room temperature water and always mixes in the right amount of formula. It was great for nights when she would wake up screaming and we’d run down to the kitchen, press one button, and the milk would start pouring into the bottle. No need for warming up water in a kettle, wait for it to cool down and then physically pour in scoops of formula yourself, and still have to mix it yourself to make sure there were no lumps. The Baby Brezza does all of that for you!

Baby Shusher: Cara from @takingcarababies told me to buy it so I hit the “add to cart” button without any questions asked, I mean she is a sleep expert after all. We used this so much in the first few weeks when she was born. It allowed us to go out to dinners while she slept in her seat with the perfect amount of shushing from the shusher!

Windi: When the baby is gassy and uncomfortable, Windi is your lifesaver. We used this a few times in the beginning when Harnaya would cry for hours from discomfort. It helped so much!
